The Developer provided the following statement on August 27, 2024:
We understand that many of you are eager for updates on the Melissa Road opening, and we appreciate your patience during this time. We want to reassure you that the project remains on track for the December 2024 completion date we mentioned at the April 2024 Trinity Falls HOA Annual Meeting. The City of Melissa and McKinney is currently inspecting the project and conducting a punch list process to ensure Melissa Road meets the required safety and quality standards. Once these inspections and punch list items are implemented, completed, and approved by each city, we will proceed with the monumentation and landscape install phase and inspections, which mark the final process before officially opening Melissa Road to traffic. We remain committed to meeting our projected completion timeline of December 2024.
PLEASE NOTE – The construction for Melissa Road is controlled solely by the Developer – Trinity Falls Holdings. Calling and emailing McKinney MUD 1, the City of Melissa, the City of McKinney, Collin County, and/or TxDOT is not helpful, as none of them are involved in the construction. Only the Developer has the authority to open Melissa Road for use by the public. At this time, Melissa Road remains closed to all traffic (vehicles, bikes, golf carts, pedestrian).
